Our working group aims to elevate the voices of Black people and other people of color in the media and through other public engagements.
We center our commitment around creating new opportunities and demand in media for BIPOC spokespeople as well as preparing and training BIPOC spokespeople. Our progress in achieving these goals are tracked by audits and reports.

Spokesperson Training Series
In collaboration with WCAPS and ReThink Media, this audience-tailored spokesperson training series focuses on speaking towards the challenges faced by women of color in media. This series focus on amplifying BIPOC voices as well as creating new opportunities for participants to open avenues including becoming faces of their organizations.

Purpose: To increase the voice share for peace and security experts of color in the media and other public spaces.
Key content: This toolkit includes tips, suggestions, and examples for various media communication settings (e.g., panels, press, and social media) to support people of color. It includes a discussion guide to create a starting point and have conversations with your organizations and colleagues.
