The Everyday Feminist: The Key to Sustainable Social Impact - Driving Movements We Need Now

Please join the CSIS Economics Program and the Project for Prosperity and Development for an event with Global Fund for Women’s President Latanya Mapp Frett on her new book “The Everyday Feminist: The Key to Sustainable Social Impact–Driving Movements We Need Now.”

We are seeing a wave of women’s rights rollbacks – from the repeal of Roe v Wade in the US to systematic rights violations in Afghanistan. At the same time grassroots feminists are loudly standing up like never before, joining the protests in Iran or saying “me too.” worldwide.  Research shows these grassroots feminist activists and movements are the most effective levers against rising gender inequality as well as other social issues—but they and their work are often overlooked.
